Child & parent wellbeing

Parenting can be incredible. And, incredibly hard work.

In a modern era of rapid evolution, where it speaks perhaps louder than ever that anything is possible, and we cannot predict the futures of our children…

I see many parents feeling confused, under-resourced, concerned for their child’s welfare, and lacking connection to a supportive community.

I see many children within modern systems struggling to play, explore and discover themselves freely and safely within reasonable, not restrictive, containers.

And, I see how we can support each other to transform fears, and rediscover trust and confidence in ourselves as caregivers… by supporting each other with compassion.

With firmer grounding and trust in ourselves, I see how we can support our children to feel safe and trusting in themselves, as resourceful and resilient beings.

Through thirteen years of full-time studying developmental psychology and psychodynamic psychotherapy, training, and working therapeutically with children, parents, families and professionals, I’ve learned a lot. I’ve specialised in short and long term individual therapeutic work, and community-based support work, with children and parents affected by intergenerational trauma and adversity. In the later part of my career as a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist within the NHS in London, I specialised in consultation for professionals and parents within schools and nurseries, and facilitating parent support groups.

In 2024, I left my full-time work in the NHS. Firstly to rebalance my own nervous system, and then to begin exploring and creating alternative ways for me to support child, parent and family wellbeing outside of a medicalised system.

I now offer private consultations for parents and professionals, and bespoke therapeutic support, tailored on a case-by-case basis. I draw on my trainings and experience as a psychodynamic psychotherapist, holistic therapist and transpersonal psychologist, to help support you to

  • Explore and develop an understand of the presenting difficulties through a wide-lens, holistic, non-diagnostic perspective

  • Explore means of improving communication and relationships within your family and other networks, to support the path of healing and growth systemically as well as individually

  • Rebuild confidence in yourself as a caregiver, increasing your tools and capacities to access your own resilience, wisdom, wellness and hope.

I currently offer consultations online, and in person in West Sussex, UK.

I am also interested in collaborating with others who share my visions and values of supporting young people, parents and families to access holistic, non-pathologising, resilience and ‘what’s right with you?’ focused interventions.
