To know is to know that to know is not to know.
— Buddha
Since opening his eyes to the unfathomable mystery of this existence and the absurdity of it having taken the form it now appears in that we call life at the tender age of around 9 years old, Theo has been on a profound and epic journey of finding the most authentic way of being that satisfied what first appeared as a displacement of soul, but now makes more and more perfect sense with less and less answers or questions. Understanding is not about solving problems, but plugging in to the mystery itself - letting not-knowing be, unresolved. Only when we call off the search, we find ourselves, already home with everything we ever needed, in-built, pre-installed with infinite free upgrades and a universal life-time guarantee!
Theo was born in 1989 in the quiet Cornish fishing town of Newlyn, in the UK, where he lived for 18 years, connecting with the Dharma of Buddhism at age 15, practiced insight meditation and found a love for Spring Forest Qigong practice. He began playing the guitar and singing around age 10 and always felt an artistic and musical calling in his bones. By age 14 he was writing songs and eventually attending local open mic nights in bars and busking on the streets of Penzance, Falmouth, Redruth and Truro. As well as completing a L3 Horticulture course at Duchy College, Rosewarne, he began a career of character building and skill deepening day jobs, including labouring for local builders and landscapers, restaurant and cafe kitchen and front of house, community sports coaching for Salisbury City Council, domiciliary care for the elderly and working in a home hardware store called Trago Mills. Meanwhile Theo was always honing his musical, writing and performing crafts and studying various spiritual traditions and practices, from Zen, to non-duality to The 3 Principles.
The deepening of Theo’s journey, quite inexplicably came to a head when his being encountered speed bumps and ultimately a chapter of accelerated spiritual and psychological transformation.
